Since forming in November 2011, Les Malheureux have had the pleasure of playing numerous gigs, including the Blog North Awards at Manchester Literature Festival at Gorilla, Manchester Book Market, Emma Jane Unsworth’s book launch at Waterstone’s Deansgate, Didsbury Arts Festival (x2) at Pizza Exoress and The Art of Tea with Chris Jam’s Mic Bytes, Shangri La! (x2), Poets & Players at The John Rylands Library, A Carefully Planned Festival, For Books’ Sake Second Birthday Bash, Tago>Mago, Monkeys In Love second album launch, Lou and the Llamas EP launch at the Klondyke Club, Chinese Arts Centre, Words V Music, Sadcore Dadwave and Bad Language in Manchester; The Eagle Inn, Whitworth Art Gallery Pub Crawl Launch Party at the First Chop Brewing Arm, Sounds From The Other City Festival and Embryo at The King’s Arms in Salford; Sound, Hope Street Hotel and Writing On The Wall Festival at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool; Fictions Of Every Kind in Leeds; Nether Edge Cabaret Club in Sheffield; Tether in Nottingham; Inky Fingers in Edinburgh; The Old Fire Station, Penrith; Brewery Arts Centre and Mintfest fundraiser at the Town Hall in Kendal; The Word Festival at the New Conti in Preston; Chorley Live Festival at the Ebb & Flo Bookshop in Chorley; Once More With Meaning and Course You Can Malcolm in Bury; Axis Arts Centre in Crewe, and the Albion Beatnik bookshop during Not The Oxford Literary Festival in Oxford. We’ve also performed in Paris, France, although sans keyboard, malheureusement.
